ABOUT OUR COMPANY
J. Bauer Trucking, Inc. has been in business in the Medford, Wisconsin area over 40 years. We are a locally and privately owned company with our facilities located in the general Medford area. At the present time, our fleet consists of 70-plus modern tractor units and in excess of 250 trailer units, dry vans and refrigerated units. Our business consists of over the road (OTR) trucking regionally in the upper Midwest and throughout the United States, with routes in 47 states. We pride ourselves on service, along with reasonable rates, courteous drivers and prompt attention to our customer trucking needs and details.
Our primary focus is to give the best freight service available. Because our employees are such an important link to our business, every effort is made to enhance their quality of life on the job! That is attested to by our upgrading of the fleet to “tall extended sleeper units” to provide the maximum comforts and benefit for the drivers while over the road. We also pride ourselves on our entire staff of drivers, mechanics, dispatch, administration and managers working together to make J. Bauer Trucking, Inc. one of central Wisconsin's most reputable and successful transportation businesses. There has been a continued family atmosphere at the company for our employees. While service to our customers comes first, we make every effort to meet the individual needs of our drivers by offering all employees competitive benefits as found in the trucking industry.
We are very proud of the years so many of our dedicated administrative staff and mechanic crew have been with our company. In addition, many of our drivers have been with the company for 20 plus years and have achieved many safety awards. We received outstanding safety awards from our insurance carrier for having one of the best driving records out of the many trucking companies that they insure. Safety concerns are a prime consideration with our drivers, which is a benefit to our customers. We do have a full time driver liaison person, who is an experienced driver trainer and qualified to determine readiness for CDL testing.
